Day 1 activity:Trekking & Knotting

TREKKING
PRINCIPAL

OBJECTIVE
-To gain knowledge about the nature
-Improve relationship between hikers
STOP
S-Stop

O-Observe
P-Plan
WISEL SIGNAL
1 blow =stop
2 blow = start walk again
6 blow =emergency/danger
3 blow = rescue is coming
* usually the leader will determine when to rest,so he will blow the wisel, or when to start after taking a rest.


FORMATION OF MOVEMENT
-1 files

DO AND DON'T WHILE TREKKING
-Try avoid damaging, effect, impacting on the land through which you are travel.
-Leave nothing but a footprint
-take nothing but a photos
-kill nothing but time
-keep nothing but memory
-the guideline for low impact tracking,'leave no trace'movement of first set.
SIGN
-3 stone on top of each one of it mean danger
-arrow made from stone mean you have to follow this route


KNOTTING
Type of rope
-Kernmantel
-Dynamic
* Kern mean core,mantel mean outside(balut tali)
*core Z twist and S twist
Aspect in knotting
-Easy to tight
-Strong
-Easy to untight
How to care
The rope have life expectancy for 2 year but with a tight care and inspection regularly.
We cannot put the rope on the ground because it can damage the core of the rope.
  
Type of knotting
-Reef knot
-Sheet band
-End knot
-Fisherman knot
-Bowline or rescue
-Figure of 8 knot single loop and double loop
-Glove hitch
-Alpine butterfly or double butterfly.
